- Mop weekly – Apart from the daily sweeping, make sure that you give your wood floors a mop with a good quality cleaner that has been specifically formulated for wood flooring once a week. Use a soft cloth mop, and gently apply it so the applicator head does not make contact with the wood.
- Finding the right floor cleaner – Rather than use soap, you want to use a cleaner that has a neutral pH. Never use soap, as it will leave a residue that attracts dust and dirt once it has dried, also, avoid using any abrasive cleaning products, as they too will scratch and dull your floor.
